He graduated Lynchburg High School and continued on to receive a degree in Accounting from Lynchburg College in Virginia. Luther served in the National Guard for eight years. Luther married Lyndy E. Daily Wright on April 21, 2004 in Reno, NV. Though finding each other less than a decade ago, they both considered the other the great love & greatest gift of each others' lives. Luther worked in the Accounting department at General Electric in Lynchburg, as well as for the City of Lynchburg before coming west to Shasta County, California where he was a clock-wright & builder of fine furniture for many years. He and his wife fell in love with the giant trees, bought a home & moved to Humboldt County in 2005. Luth volunteered at both the Carlotta Volunteer Fire Department & the Grange where he loved cooking for various fundraisers as well as playing Santa Claus during the holidays. Prior to retiring, he also co-managed the Myers Inn Bed & Breakfast in Myers Flat, developing many unique recipes the Inn's guests enjoyed immensely. Some of his other interests included a love of film & its restoration, music of all types & genres & most especially computer & camera technology, spending many pleasurable hours researching on his computer. Luth is survived by his wife Lyndy; sister, Sandra Yoder; brother, Philip Wright; daughter, Carol; step-children Misty & Coby Garcia; grandchildren Brendan Kyle, Jasun & Preslee Mae and many loving nieces and nephews. Luther is preceded in death by his parents Philip Graves Wright & Pearl Elizabeth (Finch) Wright. The family & friends of Luther Wright wish to thank Redwood Memorial & St. Joseph's hospitals in Humboldt County as well as Vibra Hospital in Redding, Shasta County for their wonderfully loving care and support. Condolences to the family may be left on Luther's online memorial website at www.yourtribute.com. Luther's last gift on earth was as an organ & tissue donor - he will help two people to see, wounded warriors & others to live better lives. He will be sorely missed, but live on still in those he helped after his passing - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/times-standard/obituary.aspx?pid=164382492#sthash.ME8HV3xe.dpuf
