NEWPORT NEWS — Mrs. Judy C. Gorman, 50, died Saturday, April 3, 1999. She was a native of Lynchburg and a graduate of E.C. Glass High School and the Phillips Business College. She was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the St. Valentine's Guild. Mrs. Gorman was employed by the Wachovia Bank, Grafton Branch, as a teller supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph H. Coleman Jr., and her mother, Mary Josephine Coleman; and is survived by her husband, William R. Gorman; her daughter, Jan Marie Goulden, and her husband, Paul, of Houston; her son, William R. Gorman II, and his wife, Rebecca, of Arlington; and two sisters, Marylu Pugh of Kingsport, Tenn., and Dr. Susan Coleman of Woodbridge

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:15 p.m. today at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. by Monsignor Michael McCarron.

Judy's eyes were donated to the Cornea Transplant Bank, so that others might see the world through her eyes.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society "Relay for Life" or the Shriners' Crippled Children's Hospital.
