Heald, III, Wistar Morris

Wistar Morris Heald, III, age 70, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2018. He was born in Lynchburg, Va., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wistar Morris Heald, Jr. who preceded him in death. He graduated from E.C. Glass High School and Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He loved to say "If the Hilltoppers, the Wahoos and the St. Louis Cardinals won, it was a good day. Wistar is survived by his daughter, Margaret Carter Heald Bendall of Lynchburg and her husband, Richard and their daughter, Lawson Bendall. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory, Wiggington Rd. Chapel (434) 385-8900. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or the Lynchburg Humane Society.
