David Richardson VIEW PROFILE

I am very sorry to infom you of the death of my beloved husband, David Richardson. His obituary is as follows: Paul David Richardson, II, of McLean, VA, and Mathews County, VA, died Tuesday, Dec. 28th, 2021, in Riverside Hospital, Newport News, VA. He was 73 years old. He is survived by his wife Caetheirne, his three sons, Christopher, Arthur, and Andrew Richardson; and his sisters Fay (John) Picardi and Hila Richardson. He is also survived by his lifelong best friends Jim Stevens, and Ken Logwood. David was a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Virginia, and a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School. He had a long and illustrious legal career as a partner first at Fried Frank, then subsequently at Sidley & Austin, with both a national and international roster of clients. He also donated his expertise and time to numerous pro bono causes. David founded and led the Washington, DC chapter of Smart Recovery, an alcoholism support group, for many years. At our house on Mobjack Bay, he was a member of the Kingston Parish Episcopal Church, the Mathews Yacht Club, and a volunteer at the Mathews County Historical Society.

Marion Gamble (McCollum)

I am shocked and saddened to hear of David's death. We danced together on Friday afternoons in the cafeteria at  West End Elementary School.  I last saw him at our EC Glass 50th reunion, when we danced one in memory of old times.  Sending sympathy to family and friends,
