Donna Steuart Fisher, affectionately known as “Nana,” 62, of Lynchburg, died on Thursday,
July 23, 2009. She was the loving wife of John “Jack” Edward Fisher for 38 years.
Born in Lynchburg, January 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lorenza
Steuart and the late Mildred Greer Steuart. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Shannon Fisher Adie and husband
James of Madison Heights, a brother, Edward L. Steuart, Jr. and wife Kim of Forest, a sister,
Sandra S. Elder of Lynchburg, three adoring grandchildren, Cody Daniell Steuart Adie,
Brooke Hannah Adie, and Claire Emily Adie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a loving
circle of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at
Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg, and all other times at the Fisher residence. A Memorial
Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Fairview Christian Church with
the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton and the Rev. Terry Wornstaff officiating.
