Charles Thomas "Tom" Lineberry
Charles Thomas "Tom" Lineberry, 53, of Indian Hill Road, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002. He was the husband of Sheridan McGehee Lineberry. Mr. Lineberry was born May 17, 1948 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Lawrence Lonal Lineberry,Sr. and the late Blanche Amanda Henderson Lineberry. He was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church and a realtor with Coldwell Banker Forehand & Co. Realtors. Mr. Lineberry was a member of the Lynchburg Realtors Association, Sons of the Confederacy and United Commercial Travellers. He was also a volunteer at Lynchburg General Hospital.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Charles Addison Lineberry of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two daughters, Kathryn Moore Pruzan of Wilson, N.C., Laura Nau Jakalavich of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother, Lawrence Lonal Lineberry, Jr.; four grandchildren, Devon, Madeline and Tanner Pruzan and Joseph Jakalavich.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Tharp Funerla Home Chapel with the Rev. Joseph T. Carson III officiating. I was saddened to learn of Tommy's death when I saw it here in the classmate profiles. Tommy and I were friends in the 6th and 7th grade (that's probably why I still think of him as Tommy), but we drifted apart in highschool. When I saw him at the 30-year reunion though, having been friends that long ago, 35 vs 30 years prior didn't make much difference, and we had a great reminiscense. We'll miss you, Tommy.
